RVtravel.com blogger visits scenic RV park, files video

RV Travel blogger Jim Twamley visited a beautiful RV park south of Seattle and filed a informative and entertaining two minute video report of what he found. Lost Lake Resort welcomes overnight stays, but also offers permanent sites for both RVs and cabins. The scene looks straight out of a beautiful state park. See for yourself in this video.

RV burns: Road trip gone bad, for sure!

The title of this video is Road Trip Gone Bad and that certainly seems appropriate. Here's yet another video of an RV burning up. Is it just because of YouTube plus the number of people carrying video cameras today that so many of these "burning RV" clips are showing up? Whatever the reason, this is yet another example of why RVers need to pay close attention to fire prevention and to carry at least one and hopefully more fire hydrants in their RVs.

Barbie's totally cool, futuristic motorhome!

And you thought you had an awesome RV! Hah! Wait until you see this futuristic model owned by none other than slender, beautiful, blonde, bombshell, Toys R Us mini-goddess Barbie! Personally, we think she should dump boring, wimpy Ken and team up with spaceman Buzz Lightyear to hit the road full-time with this classy Class A motorhome -- complete with spacious slideout and a "drive-away" cab for attending wild parties and fashion shows. How can any of us settle for our ordinary coaches after seeing this RV-supreme? No fair!

Couple heads off for first night in new RV

A couple drives away their new motorhome from the dealership to the campground where they set up for their very first night in the new rig. This fast paced, three-minute video with a dash of humor is a good example of what the RV lifestyle is all about.

Another motorhome goes up in flames

The first sign of trouble in this two-minute video is the big plume of black smoke ahead on the highway. Soon, the two men in the car realize the smoke is coming from an RV, and it's on fire. The traffic moves slowly forward as rubber-necking motorists watch the drama. As the two men pass, their camera rolling, they get a closeup view of the late model motorhome, already half burned and on its way, apparently, to ashes. Many RV fires are being documented lately and posted to the Web, serving as a huge reminder to RVers to make sure they respect the potential for fire in their rigs, and to double check that they are carring one or more fire extinguishers. . . just in case. Video shows travel trailer wipe out

Watch what can happen when a gust of wind grabs a travel trailer as it's being towed down the road. This isn't pretty, but it serves to show that it's not nice to fool with Mother Nature. High winds? Pull your RV over and wait for the breeze to calm.
