People sure do have odd tastes in what they consider entertainment. In this 15 second video, the idea is to crash a car through a motorhome. Check out the action to see what happens. Please don't try this!

How NOT to turn a corner with a fifth wheel RV

This fifth wheeling RV family was in the campground headed for their campsite when suddenly, without warning, the back window of their tow vehicle shattered. Glass flew, bloodying the hands of the back seat passenger. It all happened because the driver turned too sharply, butting the front corner of the trailer right through the window. See for yourself. Let this be a lesson to be careful when pulling your own RV.

See it here -- futuristic trailer and car from 1935

"Half bug and half buggie," is what the narrator calls this futuristic travel trailer and towing car of 1935. We say it looks like something out of a Buck Rogers adventure or maybe a Woody Allen movie. Check it out for yourself in this 35-second newsreel clip.

Wild RV chase! Cops chase crazed RVer

You've seen those cop shows where a bad guy tries to outrun the law. Well, here's an episode of one such show where the escapee is driving a long class A motorhome. The police can't believe what they are seeing. Even after a tire drops off, the crazed driver continues. Then tires start shredding and the tire rims shoot off sparks and flames, leading the worried cops to lay back for fear the 30-foot rig will explode. Length: Less than two minutes.

The evolution of Barth Motorhomes

Here's an interesting slide show (with nice music) that shows the history of Barth RVs -- mostly motorhomes after a few early trailer models -- from 1964 through 1998. It's interesting to watch the slow-but-steady progress from the company's early efforts to its latest models, many very luxurious. Length: about six minutes.

Boring day for RVer Cindy

Cindy and Rick are on the road in their Flair motorhome in tiny Isleton, Calif. Cindy reports on their day -- of traveling on "skinny roads" where she thought she was going to die. And then they arrived in Isleton where she and Rick were set to eat crawdads (Isleton is on the Sacramento River), but the restaurant was closed. So that was pretty bad. Then Rick left the door open so the cat got out. So Cindy and Rick got in a big fight over that. But later when they were getting ready to move on, the cat appeared from beneath the dashboard. As Cindy files this three minute report, the wind howls, which Cindy doesn't like one bit. Frankly, after viewing this video you wonder why this whiny woman doesn't just check into a hotel or stay home!

See a motorhome being assembled

Ever wonder how a motorhome is made? In this promotional video from Alabama-based Tiffin, you will see how one of its high end motor coaches is assembled. It all begins with the chassis and works up from there — the floors, wiring, cabinets, walls, the roof and eventually the finishing up process. Five minutes.

What to do about stinky holding tank odors

RVing is fun. But there is one time when it is not fun, and that's when you're traveling down the highway in your motorhome and all of sudden you get a massive whiff of stinky odor from your toilet's holding tank. This can be really, really rank! Peeyou! So what do you do? In this four minute video, Mark Polk of RV Education 101 tells you what contributes to RV holding tank odors, and what you can do to prevent it from happening. This is good stuff. Motorhome life is good for little girl

Life is darn good for a little girl who lives in a motorhome. Watch her smiling dad drive down the highway to the next campground, while the little girl reads, looks out the window and even uses the bathroom, all the while explaining about her life on the road. "It's just like a regular house except it has wheels," she says. Within two seconds of arriving at the family's evening campsite, two youngsters show up to play. Life is good. This is a one-minute clip of a 1970s-era segment from Sesame Street.

Buying a free RV, fixing it, and selling it

Two guys and a gal-pal set out shopping for a cheap motorhome. They find a somewhat ancient Dodge Discoverer, of which they say only 30 were ever made. They have $2,000 to spend, but this one is only $500. But when it doesn't start, they decide to keep on searching. But the price gets dropped to zero. So they haul it away and decide to fix it up with the idea that maybe they can sell it for a few bucks. Here's the story. See them restore it (and discover interesting items tucked away in the motorhome as they do) and find out which TV network they sold it to and for how much. Length: Less than five minutes.
